Top 3 Race Tracks In California

California is one of the best destinations for auto racing enthusiasts with over 20 race tracks. The state also hosts a number of automotive tuning companies which prep cars for racing. We have taken a look at some of the best race tracks within the state and have compiled a list that includes our three favorite tracks in California.

Our first track on the list is the Buttonwillow Raceway Park located in Buttonwillow, California near the city of Bakersfield. This track hosts a wide range of events which includes motorcycle racing, club racing, vintage racing, and karts. The track has three possible configurations which include the west track at 1.86 miles, the east track at 1.06 miles and a combination of the two at 3 miles. Buttonwillow Raceway Park is often used as a testing track for research and development as well as traditional racing events.

The second location on our list is the Willow Springs International Motorsports Park located in Rosamond, California. This track is in a great spot just north of Los Angeles and is often rented out by automotive clubs for race days. With a number of different tracks at the park there is almost always something going on here. The original track here is also one of the oldest in California and construction began in 1952.

The last track on our list is the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. This track is the only one on our list located in Northern California and is not far from the California coast. This track is world famous and hosted the famous automotive car show Top Gear a number of years ago. Unlike the other locations on the list the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca has only one track, but it is a well designed challenging course with a number of famous corners.
